Welcome to the 3P Living blog! I’m excited to launch this blog and thankful that you took the time to click.

There are many wonderful passages that compare the Christian life to an endurance race. The 3P’s come from observations out of the book of Philippians, in particular, one of my favorite Bible verses:

“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14

• The Purpose of Jesus (how we are in the race)
• The Power of the Holy Spirit (how we are able to persevere in the race)
• The Prize from God (why we are in the race)

I look forward to expounding on these observations in the next few posts!

Why blog in 2026?

Great question. I want a weekly platform to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My desire is that readers would be encouraged through weekly devotionals and that you would be drawn near to the Lord.

Growing up, I had several “go-to” weekly blogs and articles. These posts were mostly about college football. I loved reading the Friday morning college football preview posts that covered the weekend’s key matchups. (Tony Barnhart’s column in the AJC was always a personal favorite. I loved the quick analysis and score predictions)

Recently, I’ve found blogs a great source of encouragement. If I’m looking for information about a certain topic or Bible verse, there are several trusted blogs that I refer to. Video content and podcasts seem to be easier ways to get content, and someday the Lord may guide me in that direction, but right now, the calling is to blog.

What to expect

I’m looking forward to updating the website Tuesday morning with devotional content. I’ll go through a selection passages from God’s Word. The aim is to have a 5-minute read. While I do pray these posts are enjoyable, the overall purpose is to challenge and encourage believers in their walk with Christ. The format will be: passage, brief devotional/call to action, and prayer.

In addition, I’ll periodically post about things that I find interesting.

Finally, looking ahead – I’m gearing up to develop a children’s section — complete with devotionals, games, and activities. These resources will be free of charge.
